Four days of trade fair, full power, and a whole lot of enthusiasm for size reduction technology: The RATL Trade Fair 2025 was a complete success for ARJES Impaktor. We spoke with Ralf Tüngerthal, who presented the IMPAKTOR series on site, about his impressions, visitors, and machines.

Ralf, you were there for all four days of the trade fair – what was the atmosphere like at the RATL trade fair 2025?
“The atmosphere was consistently positive – you got the feeling that the industry is really excited about the future again. Curious faces everywhere, exciting conversations, and genuine interest. In short: no sign of stagnation – recycling is alive and well!”
“Our presence was strong, technically impressive, and visually striking. Anyone who couldn’t find us was probably at the wrong trade fair,” Ralf says with a smile.
Focus on technology – and on results
What impressed the visitors the most?
“Our new design and the technical advancements were extremely well received. Especially the fact that our machines run pleasantly quietly despite their massive power output and are thoughtfully designed for service.”
In fact, the noise level was a much-discussed topic for all models. With a noise level below 90 dB(A), the IMPAKTOR 1000 proved that shredding doesn’t have to be loud. At the same time, the IMPAKTOR 1250 impressively demonstrated how precise performance and control go hand in hand – especially when crushing concrete railway sleepers.
“Many visitors could hardly believe how effortlessly the machine handled this material,” Ralf recounts enthusiastically.
And also the The IMPAKTOR 350 EVO II proved its versatility: With new attachments and sieve baskets, it became a crowd favorite – compact, flexible, and efficient.
Besides the impressive demonstrations, there was also good business news.
“Three concrete prospective buyers with genuine interest in purchasing the IMPAKTOR 1250 D, one IMPAKTOR 350 EVO II sold directly, and even an IMPAKTOR 1000 that found a new owner right there at the trade fair – that was truly “Strong.”
The visitors came with clear ideas, often with their own materials in mind.
“There was no ‘just looking’ going on – people knew what they needed, and they wanted solutions. You could feel that in every conversation.”

Highlights and EmotionsWhen Ralf looks back on the trade fair, he has many highlights – but they all revolve around technology, team spirit, and enthusiasm:
“Our machines were consistently the stars. The IMPAKTOR 1250 D demonstrated what muscle power in steel means when shredding concrete railway sleepers. The IMPAKTOR 1000 was almost Meditative – quiet, powerful, impressive. And the IMPAKTOR 350 EVO II with the new attachments – simply the all-rounder par excellence.”
“Anyone who stopped at the dealer booths with our IMPAKTOR machines rarely left without an “aha!” or “wow!” experience.”
Finally, we asked Ralf which topics will shape the future.
“Quite clearly: flexible, energy-efficient, and transport-friendly.” Systems. Demand is increasingly shifting towards multifunctional machines that can be quickly reconfigured – and that’s precisely where our IMPAKTOR series is perfectly positioned.”
RATL itself remains a must for ARJES Impaktor:

And what does he personally take away from it?
“Many great conversations, new contacts, and a good dose of motivation. We don’t just sell machines – we show that recycling has a future.”
