How does waste recycling work with the IMPAKTOR 1000?

The incoming material passes through a twin-shaft system equipped with tangential tools. These are specially designed to break down bulky and solid components in the waste in a controlled and uniform manner. The shredding process is efficient and non-clogging. The integrated overbelt magnet then automatically separates ferrous components from the material stream.

The optional screen basket, which allows for the targeted fractionation of the final product, is particularly noteworthy. For coarse mixed waste, for example, a basket with a mesh size of 2×250×250 mm is suitable. This creates a usable output fraction that can be directly sorted or thermally recycled.

Why is mechanical pretreatment so important in waste recycling?

Many mixed waste currently ends up directly in landfills or incineration plants. They contain a multitude of recyclable materials that could be returned to the recycling cycle through targeted pre-shredding and sorting. The IMPAKTOR 1000 creates precisely these conditions:
